CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING

Cross-country skiing, also known as Nordic skiing, is a fantastic way to escape the hustle and bustle of the resort and immerse yourself in the calm of our mountains. Choose between the classic cross-country style to glide along the trails at your own pace, or the more energetic skating style for a full cardiovascular workout. Oxyski’s fully qualified instructors are on hand to teach all levels.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned skier, everyone is welcome!

TWO STYLES: CLASSIC & SKATING

Nordic skiing can be practised in two styles. Classic style uses the tramlines—tracks set in the trails that guide your skis straight and parallel while you propel yourself forward with your poles. It’s perfect for beginners, offering a gentle introduction and a flexible aerobic workout.

Skating style, on the other hand, is more challenging. As the name suggests, it involves pushing your skis out to each side to generate forward momentum. Best suited to those with some cross-country experience, this style is energetic and great for a full-body workout.
